This two-part workshop is designed for ABC staff that has come on board during this past year in the membership and marketing areas. This orientation will provide you with peer-based and professional training that covers an array of important elements of membership development as well as an opportunity to learn about resources available through ABC National and chapter best practices. The orientation will cover: Recruitment, goal planning, retention, volunteer management and engagement, membership sales, and events and services.Orientation attendees will work together to cover topic areas relevant to their membership development efforts and build a network of professionals to continue to work with throughout their tenure with ABC.

1-5 p.m.

This two-part workshop is designed for ABC chapter staff hired during this past year in the areas of education and workforce development. This orientation will provide attendees with the skills necessary to respond to the challenges and opportunities faced by education professionals, including working with external stakeholders, growing your programs, managing instructors and leading a successful chapter education program. Attendees will work together to cover topics relevant to their education efforts and build a network of peers to collaborate with throughout their tenure at ABC.

 

Wednesday, May 5
8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Whether it’s your board, a member (or potential new member), your boss, a vendor – or anyone else, your presentation skills are critical for your success. Want to polish your presence for an upcoming Zoom meeting? Looking to up your game with a presentation to the board or another important audience? This opening session with Laurie Richards is for you!

In a two-part keynote, nonprofit expert Erik Hanberg will cover the ins and outs of volunteers and committees. In the first part, he'll cover finding, engaging, and motivating volunteers for your chapter. In the second half, he'll cover getting the most out of the volunteers on your committees.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry.
